welcome

The problem: On any given night in Baltimore City, an estimated 4,000 people experience homelessness. Our response: We provide essential housing and support services to homeless citizens.

Project PLASE serves approximately 450 individuals in our Transitional and Permanent Housing programs each year and thousands over the past 36 years. We bring hope, restore dignity and end the cycle of homelessness for clients and their families. Our work is a communal effort. Project PLASE relies on dedicated volunteers and supporters to make our work possible. Learn more about how you can get involved.!

Thank You For Supporting Purses For PLASE!

Flower Mart Booth

The Project PLASE booth had a fantastic, profitable, sunny weekend at FlowerMart selling your donated purses and meeting new people. We thank our donors, volunteers, and all those who picked up new purses for helping make this event a successful one! As always, all proceeds go toward helping Baltimore’s homeless citizens.

We are already looking forward to our next purse sale- and we accept purse donations all year round. Next time you clean out your closet, please contact us at donate@projectplase.org.

A Life of Service: An Interview with Mary C. Slicher, PLASE Executive Director

Read an interview with Mary C. Slicher, PLASE's Executive Director and Co-Founder, from July's Project PLASE E-Newsletter. She was just 21 years old in 1973 when she, along with three other idealistic university students, dreamed of a Baltimore where every one had a decent place to live. 35 years later, her work continues.
