In-Kind Donations

When you donate goods such as furniture, clothing or household items to Project PLASE, they go directly to help our clients equip their homes and their new lives. Please look at our wish list for details about the items we need most.

Donation receipts for in-kind donations are available Mon-Fri between 8am and 4pm at the reception desk at 1814 Maryland Avenue.

Furniture Donations

We accept donations of new and gently used furniture. Because these items go directly to furnishing our residents’ apartments in permanent housing, we ask that your furniture donations be in good condition. Please contact us at donate@projectplase.org for more information or to schedule a pick-up in the greater Baltimore area. We provide receipts for in-kind furniture donations.

You can greatly help this program by donating your used truck or van!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a recent infestation of bed bugs in Baltimore, we will not be able to accept mattresses and upholstered furniture for the time being, unless they have been checked for bed bugs and give the all-clear. Please contact us at info@projectplase.org if you have any questions.

Clothing Donations

Through our partnership with Goodwill Industries, Project PLASE accepts men’s, women’s and children’s clothing donations. Donations of shoes, purses, and other accessories are also welcome. The Goodwill clothing drop-off bin is located behind our 1814 Maryland Avenue building. PLASE residents receive Goodwill store vouchers, which they can use to pick out the specific items they need and like!

Professional Clothing Donations

PLASE partners with Million Dollar Man (MDM) and Dress for Success to provide professional clothing for our male and female residents. To make a donation of professional clothing, please visit their websites for more information.

Purses for PLASE

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the generous donations of purses we have received for our Fells Point Festival, we will not be collecting more purses at this time. Look out for more information on our purse collection in the spring.

Each year, PLASE collects new and gently used purses for our Purses for PLASE booth at Mt. Vernon’s annual Flowermart. We strongly encourage office purse drives, and we can arrange to pick up large quantities of purses if needed.
