Clothing Donations
Through our new partnership with Goodwill Industries, Project PLASE is accepting men’s, women’s and children’s clothing donations once again! Shoes, purses, and other accessories are welcome. The Goodwill clothing drop-off bin is located behind our 1814 Maryland Avenue building. Each time our bin fills up, PLASE residents receive Goodwill store vouchers which they can use to pick out the specific items and sizes they need!
By donating at PLASE, you can help to keep someone warm during the cold winter months while also providing them with the dignity to choose clothing in line with their own style and need.

We are in a partnership with Million Dollar Man (MDM) and Dress for Success to provide professional clothing for our male and female residents. To make donations of professional clothing, please check out their websites for more information.

Your donation helps
While Project PLASE does receive funds from various federal and local sources, donations made by individuals are an essential part of how we meet client needs and operating costs. Your donation can help fund a bed for a veteran struggling with PTSD, can ensure that a family in permanent housing receives the supportive services they need to stay off the street and can provide undereducated individuals with the time, space and instruction to learn their first letters in our GED class. Ultimately, your donation will help us to do our best work for our clients and offer them all that we are able Your generous donation changes lives.
DID YOU KNOW?
In no state does a full-time minimum wage job cover the costs of a one-bedroom unit at Fair Market Rent, and in 45 states and the District of Columbia, families would need to earn at least double the minimum wage in order to afford a two-bedroom unit at Fair Market Rent. (Out of Reach: Can America Pay the Rent?, via the National Coalition for the Homeless).
