The property Project PLASE, Inc. is looking to buy is a 33,000 sq. ft. three-storey masonry loft brick building built in 1922. The construction of the building consists of brick exterior walls and a flat wood frame roof with rolled surface.

Located in the Station North Arts District, the Morgan Millworks Building is a turn of the century millworks that has been converted to contemporary loft offices and artists studios. Conveniently located directly behind PLASE’s 1814 Maryland Ave headquarters and Single Residence Occupancy transitional housing & medically fragile residential wings, the property sits adjacent to I-83 and 2 blocks from Baltimore’s Penn Station.

Interior aspects of the building include: 11-foot ceilings, oversized windows, hardwood floors and exposed ductwork.

Proposed Plans for the Renovation

The new building will provide dwelling units, service delivery space, a medical facility and a commercial kitchen as well as administrative offices. The new commercial kitchen will provide meals to our clients and include food preparation to provide employment opportunities for PLASE clients as well as others in the community. To read more...
